About Me
̌
Solving Complex Problems Through Design
I’ve designed products across diverse domains—developer tools, fintech, real estate, government, and non-profits. What drives me most is creating experiences that feel meaningful to people while still achieving business outcomes. My core strength lies in understanding both user and business needs, facilitating the conversations that bridge stakeholders with consumers, technical with creative, and then translating those insights into design solutions that deliver value in an almost invisible way.
With over 12 years of experience, I’ve seen the strengths of agencies, consultancies, and startups - and also the pitfalls that can stifle collaboration or reduce teams to one-dimensional outputs. The most effective design teams, I’ve learned, are the ones that prioritize communication and co-creation. I focus on building the conditions that make collaboration natural, enabling teams to execute efficiently and deliver value that truly resonates with end users.
As we enter a new era of AI, I see my role evolving. These tools will let me move faster, harness more data, and design more adaptive systems—while staying anchored in the human needs, values, and outcomes that no machine can fully replace.
Other things...
Before becoming a designer, I was an audio engineer and musician. I worked with high-profile clients from major labels, agencies, and TV networks, as well as many independent artists. As a guitarist, I performed across New York City and produced young bands at the start of their careers. I played in and produced the bands Somber, The Untitled, Product, and Anti-Alias—where I mastered the technical craft of recording and production while playing unapologetically loud, heavy guitar.
I’ve traveled to 16 countries (and counting). Some of my greatest joys are immersing myself in new environments, learning from different cultures, and sampling as much local food as possible.
I’m deeply passionate about reformative systems and justice. Alan Cooper calls it Ancestry Thinking—the challenge to be good ancestors by recognizing immoral, antisocial, or destructive patterns early, and designing against them. That philosophy continues to shape how I approach both design and life.
I’m also a mother of two creative and opinionated boys. I hope to show them how human-centered design, combined with the power of Artificial Intelligence, can be a way of solving problems, building responsibly, and creating for the future.
